Key Scripture: Proverbs 15:22
Seeking counseling is not evidence that a family lacks faith. God can work through trained professionals, pastors, physicians, and support systems.
Counseling may be helpful when conflict repeats without resolution, trust has been damaged, communication has stopped, grief feels overwhelming, parenting becomes unmanageable, or mental-health concerns affect family life.
Couples should choose a qualified counselor who respects their faith and understands the problem. In cases of violence or coercive control, ordinary couples counseling may not be safe; specialized individual support and safety planning are important.
Prayer remains valuable, but it should accompany responsible action. Families can ask God for wisdom while learning practical skills and addressing painful patterns.
Early support is often more effective than waiting until hope is nearly gone. Asking for help can be an act of humility, courage, and stewardship.
Prayer:
Wise Counselor, guide families to trustworthy help. Use caring professionals and church leaders to bring truth, safety, growth, and healing. Amen.
