Seventh-day Adventists believe that marriage was established by God in Eden. Before sin entered the world, God saw that it was not good for Adam to be alone. He created Eve and brought the two together in a loving, committed union.
Marriage is therefore more than a social agreement. It is a sacred covenant in which a husband and wife promise faithfulness to God and to each other. Their relationship should be marked by love, companionship, respect, responsibility, and spiritual unity.
Because marriage comes from God, couples should invite Him into every part of their life together. Prayer, Bible study, honest communication, forgiveness, and shared service can help a marriage grow stronger.
Every marriage faces challenges, but God’s original purpose remains beautiful: two people walking together, helping one another mature, and reflecting the faithful love of their Creator.

Creator God, bless Christian marriages. Help husbands and wives honor their covenant and grow together in love, faithfulness, and friendship. Amen.
