Key Scripture: Psalm 126:3
Celebrations help families remember God’s goodness. Birthdays, anniversaries, baptisms, graduations, recoveries, new responsibilities, and answered prayers can become occasions for gratitude.
A meaningful celebration does not require great expense. A special worship, shared meal, handwritten blessing, family photograph, or testimony can honor the moment.
Wedding anniversaries offer couples an opportunity to remember their covenant, express appreciation, and renew their commitment. Families can also acknowledge difficult milestones, such as the anniversary of a loss, with tenderness and prayer.
Celebrations should avoid unhealthy comparison. Every household has different resources and circumstances. The purpose is to honor people and recognize God’s faithfulness.
Recording family stories preserves spiritual heritage for future generations. Children benefit from hearing how God guided their parents and grandparents.
Prayer:
Lord, teach us to remember and celebrate Your goodness. Fill our family milestones with gratitude, love, humility, and worship. Amen.
