HEALTHFUL LIVING AS A FAMILY

Key Scripture: 1 Corinthians 10:31

Seventh-day Adventists understand health as part of Christian stewardship. Families can support one another in caring for the body, mind, and spirit.

Healthful habits include nutritious food, clean water, physical activity, adequate sleep, fresh air, sunlight, moderation, and trust in God. Families can make these practices enjoyable by cooking together, walking in nature, and maintaining regular routines.

Health should not become a source of pride or harsh judgment. Every person has different needs and limitations. Compassion, reliable medical care, and gradual improvement are more helpful than shame.

Mental and emotional health also matter. Rest, open conversation, counseling when needed, and a peaceful spiritual life contribute to family well-being.

The purpose of healthy living is not obsession with appearance. It is to honor God, serve others effectively, and enjoy the fullest life possible within our circumstances.

Prayer:
Creator God, guide our families toward healthful choices. Give us balance, discipline, compassion, and gratitude for the gift of life. Amen.
