MANAGING FAMILY FINANCES FAITHFULLY

Key Scripture: Proverbs 21:5

Money can become a source of serious tension in marriage. Christian stewardship begins with recognizing that every resource belongs to God.

Couples should discuss income, debt, spending, saving, giving, and financial goals honestly. Hidden purchases or secret accounts weaken trust. A simple written budget can help the family distinguish needs from wants and prepare for future expenses.

Adventist families often express stewardship through faithful tithes and offerings. Generosity teaches trust in God and concern for His work and for people in need.

Financial decisions should be made together. One spouse may manage daily accounts, but both should understand the family’s situation. When debt or financial habits become overwhelming, wise professional guidance can help.

Contentment protects the home from constant comparison. A family’s value is not measured by possessions but by faithfulness, love, and service.

Prayer:
Provider God, give families wisdom with money. Help them practice honesty, generosity, planning, and contentment. Amen.
