Key Scripture: 1 Corinthians 7:7″8
Marriage is a sacred gift, but it is not the measure of a person’s spiritual value. Jesus lived a complete and purposeful life without marrying, and Scripture honors faithful single believers.
Single adults may be unmarried by choice, circumstance, loss, or transition. The church should not pressure them, treat them as incomplete, or limit their opportunities to serve.
Christian community can provide meaningful friendship and belonging. Congregations should include single members naturally in fellowship, leadership, ministry, and family activities rather than creating unnecessary separation.
Single believers can build rich lives of worship, friendship, service, personal growth, and spiritual parenthood. They also need the same compassion and support offered to every member.
The family of God is larger than one household pattern. In Christ, every believer is fully loved and called.
Prayer:
Father, bless single members of Your family. Give them purpose, strong relationships, spiritual growth, and a church community that honors their gifts. Amen.
