SUSTAINING LOVE THROUGH LIFE’S SEASONS

Key Scripture: Lamentations 3:22″23

Marriage changes through the years. Newlywed life, parenting, career changes, caregiving, illness, retirement, and aging each bring different opportunities and pressures.

Couples remain close by adapting together. A pattern that worked in one season may need to change in another. Honest conversation helps spouses understand new needs and expectations.

Love matures when couples continue choosing faithfulness even when life feels unfamiliar. They can remember God’s past guidance, create new traditions, and seek fresh ways to serve one another.

Difficult seasons may expose weaknesses in communication or emotional connection. Asking for help early can prevent greater damage. Pastors, trusted mentors, and trained counselors can provide support.

God’s mercies are new every morning. A marriage does not need to remain trapped in yesterday’s habits. Through grace, couples can learn, repair, and begin again.

Prayer:
Unchanging God, sustain marriages through every season. Give couples flexibility, perseverance, renewed friendship, and hope. Amen.
