Children need to understand both God’s standards and His mercy. Rules without grace may produce fear, while grace without guidance leaves them unprotected.
Parents can explain that the commandments reveal loving boundaries and that everyone needs Jesus when they fail. Discipline should teach, not shame. Confession and forgiveness can turn mistakes into lessons about the gospel.

Father, help us teach children Your truth in ways that reveal Your loving character. Amen.
