Living the sixth commandment may involve calming a dispute, refusing revenge, reporting abuse, correcting dehumanizing language, or helping enemies understand one another. Peace is not silence in the face of evil; it is the restoration of right relationships.

God of peace, make us courageous peacemakers who join truth with mercy. Amen.
