The tenth commandment addresses inward desire. Coveting is the restless longing to possess what belongs to someone else.
Unlike sins visible to others, covetousness can remain hidden while shaping jealousy, resentment, dishonesty, and broken relationships. God desires not only correct behavior but also a transformed heart that trusts His provision.
