Key Scripture: Joshua 24:15
Seventh-day Adventists value family worship as a way to make Christ central in the home. Worship gives family members time to read Scripture, pray, sing, express gratitude, and seek God together.
Family worship should fit the ages and needs of the household. With children, it may include a short Bible story, a song, and a simple prayer. Teenagers can participate by choosing a passage, asking questions, or sharing a reflection.
The goal is not to conduct a formal church service at home. It is to develop a living relationship with Jesus. Worship should be warm, meaningful, and consistent rather than long and forced.
Busy schedules may make regular worship difficult. Families can begin with a few protected minutes in the morning or evening. Those who live alone can also establish a meaningful personal worship routine.
A home that prays together learns to recognize God’s presence in ordinary life.
Prayer:
Lord, make our homes places of worship. Help every family member know Your Word, experience Your love, and grow in faith. Amen.
