At the end of Creation week, God rested, blessed the seventh day, and made it holy. The Sabbath existed before Israel and before sin.
Each week, Sabbath worship declares that life is not an accident and that the world belongs to God. It teaches humility, gratitude, and care for creation. We rest because the Creator’s work is complete and His provision is trustworthy.
Prayer:
Creator, renew our wonder each Sabbath and deepen our gratitude for all You have made. Amen.
