The Bible calls God’s instruction a law of liberty. At first, commandments may appear restrictive, but their boundaries protect worship, relationships, dignity, and peace.
A guardrail limits where a vehicle can travel, yet it protects people from danger. In the same way, God’s law warns against paths that lead to bondage. Freedom is not the ability to destroy ourselves; it is the ability, through Christ, to live according to our created purpose.
Prayer:
Lord, help us see the freedom in Your ways and walk safely within the boundaries of Your love. Amen.
