Human determination alone cannot produce lasting obedience. Sin has damaged our desires and weakened our will.
God promises a new heart and His Spirit. The Spirit convicts, teaches, empowers, and redirects the believer toward God’s ways. We cooperate through prayer, Scripture, surrender, and practical choices, always depending on Christ rather than boasting in ourselves.
Prayer:
Holy Spirit, give us new hearts and empower us to walk faithfully in God’s ways. Amen.
