Key Scripture: Exodus 20:13
The sixth commandment affirms the sacred value of human life. Every person bears God’s image and must not be treated as disposable.
Jesus deepened this command by addressing anger, contempt, and hatred. Violence often begins in the heart before it reaches the hands. Christians are called to protect life, pursue peace, care for vulnerable people, and reject dehumanizing speech.
Prayer:
Giver of life, cleanse our hearts of hatred and make us protectors of human dignity. Amen.
